Lenzkirch, Germany, bracket clock, oak case of architectural form with carved and applied ornament, composite dial with Roman numeral silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels, blued steel hands, 8 days time and strike movement with ting tang quarters on two gongs, serial #1358164
CONDITION:
case with some carving and molding replacements and repairs (well done), refinished to golden oak to mask repairs. Chapter ring with loss to silver, bezel with minor tarnish, movement ticks, striking sluggish. These quarter striking mantel clocks were sold mostly to the English market, and were usually stained dark oak. Ht, est. 14"
